UPDATED LEAP LINK ON STUDENTS' PAGE!
Monday October 26-
We understand homework does not always make it home-- BOB eats it or maybe evil little fairies come and torture your child for their planners and erase their homework before they get off the bus. What ever the case may be.... I have decided to start a DAILY HOMEWORK EMAIL. If you will please email me a working email address I will be happy to send you an email that tells you what your child has for homework, what it looks like, and if I have a copy saved on my computer I can send that to you as well! Just drop me a line and maybe this will save you hours of homework headache!
Monday August 31-
We are still kicking in fourth grade however we have had a lot of absences due to illnesses. Please talk to your children about washing their hands. I try to spray down the desk and clean them as often as I can however some germs just cannot be stopped. If your child has a fever PLEASE KEEP THEM HOME! Homework can be requested and we will have all work in the office by 12 noon( if you call to request it)!
We are currently studying the Northeast states and capitals please ask your child to sing them (it is the tune of Yankee Doodle). They will have their first test THURSDAY! So study study study!
Fri August 14, 2009-

The summer is almost gone and for my former students I will miss you all. To my future students we are excited for this year. Lots of new adventures to conquer. Be prepared to work hard this year! Check out my "CURSIVE WRITING" link which will give you something to practice on these hot summer days! I also changed my countdown so that we all can mark the days until another GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!
May 25, 2009
**sniff** Another year is gone and I will sadly miss my homeroom babies. They were once again like my own children that I have been blessed to have enter into my life and with reluctant hands release on into life. **sniff** We never got to take a picture with our trophy that we won twice this year! However would it be the same without our "Diamond"? I must say I have full confidence that all the fourth graders that are moving up fully deserve the title of 5th GRADER AT LAST! I will truly miss you all and you are are always welcomed at the PAD!
APRIL 9, 2009
Ok so I have neglected my website, forgive me. Our pad has really been hopping! We survived LEAP and I could not be more proud of our fourth graders! WTG!!!!! We are going on a field trip April 30.... Information packets went home today. Enjoy your week off. I am going to try to redisign my WEBSITE over the holidays and try to get some awesome prizes for BINGO night. Oh yes did I mention we are having Bingo night April 23! We have a lot going on and a short time left... Have a very HOPPY EASTER BREAK!
December 28,2008 - HOPPY NEW YEAR~
Christmas was a blast! I enjoyed all the beautiful gifts I received from each of my kids and promise I used the coffee mugs daily! Speaking of which guess what my daughter gave me for Christmas? A COFFEE MUG! So no excuses for me not to have my morning coffee! Right? I hope everyone is playing hard and resting A LOT! When we come come back it is going to be "full steam ahead" as we sail right on into LEAP days! All of you have been working really hard and you are now FULL TIME FOURTH GRADERS! CONGRATULATIONS! Speaking of congratulations, I graduated Friday, December 19, with my Education Specialist Degree. Thank you to all who behaved well for the sub! OH YES, THANK YOU~> to all my "lil cajun crawfish kickers" who danced so well at the Christmas program. YOU MADE THIS YEAR AWESOME~ YOU ROCKED!
November 28, 2008
The Christmas elves have taken over my website! Enjoy the Louisiana Christmas "Carol". We are so busy in 4th grade we need to remember a day without laughter and fun is a day wasted. My daughter and I love doing cookies and watching our traditional movies, lighting the tree at night and just being together. What are some of your holiday traditions? We have been talking about culture all year... now is the time to let yours shine. Drop me a line on my guest book and my froggy elf will make sure to bring you a special holiday treat if you are one of my students!
Thanks and HOPPY Holidays~~~

Wildcat Safari Night was a HUGE success! Please check out the photos from "BOB'S BIG NIGHT OUT". If you do not know who Bob is, he is our skeleton "ghost". Rumors have floated for years about him being a former student of mine who didn't do my homework. When ever someone is not doing what they are suppose to do as a fourth grader Bob comes and joins in on their mischief and usually gets the blame. Bob has been known to "steal" pencils, "throw away" homework, or simply make the children "too distracted" away from school to study. Bob gets blamed for it all! The kids love him and secretly I do too. He came up with the theme for this years Wildcat Safari night! GREAT JOB BOB!
Monday September 22, 2008

HI EVERYONE!
I hope everyone made
it safely through Gustav. I lost power Monday, Sep. 1 and just got it back last
night. I have spent my days trying to keep cool and sleeping with
no air condition like most of us have. Did you notice how cool it has been
lately? Maybe we will have an early fall?!? The school had some minor
water damage but it is taken care of and I can't wait to get back! I do not
expect any logging on Gustav except through Monday, September 1, as that is when
most of us lost power. I hope you all enjoyed the
week off from school! We will start back BRIGHT AND EARLY Monday September 8, I
am looking forward to hearing all of your stories ! We have got a lot to make up
but we can do it! Stay safe! ~~~Love Ms. Bock!~~~

We are tracking Gustav over the Labor Day Holiday. This is both a science and social studies project. We are predicting and observing as part of our science inquiry, and using longitude and latitude to track the storms movement. You may email me at anytime by clicking on the email link. I will hopefully update pictures of our classroom this weekend on the website. I will do my best to keep you notified about Gustav. Remember to log ONCE A DAY for the next three days ANYTIME YOU CHOOSE. I will keep previous times on the website above that way you can log "in case you forget".

Whew made it through the first week of school. I must say this year's group of fourth graders is a WONDERFUL group of children. I already see talent in them that will definitely flourish as the year continues. This week in Science we learned the Scientific Process. Ms. Tyler's homeroom HAS HOMEWORK this weekend. In Social Studies, we learned where the 7 continents are, the 4 MAIN oceans, North Pole, South Pole, and the "EQUATOR" ask your student about this fun hand game we learned. Monday we start DI reading. Marks and consequences will also start. THE GOOD NEWS IS we have been giving out PAW POINTS like crazy! The SCHOOL STORE will open probably after Labor day that way your student can get a good bank of paw points! It's going to be a great year! I am still excited and look forward to meeting all my parents! Have a great weekend! P.S.~ Notice the new counter on the page it is for Labor Day ~~NO SCHOOL~~!
August 11, 2008,
Welcome back! Wow what a great first day! I am so excited to see all new faces in my homeroom! The kids got a laugh today as I assigned nicknames and tried to remember faces! BUT THE BIGGEST KICK, was them finding out their PARENTS had homework and not them! WOOHOO! Please try to fill out the paperwork sent home it helps us out so much in the classroom. Please make sure to try and get all school supplies by FRIDAY! A binder is a must for students to stay organized. Thanks and I look forward to A GREAT YEAR!
