Cirrus-wispy clouds, made of ice

Cumulus-puffy, look like cotton balls, white

Stratus-low layers of clouds, usually cover the whole sky, can be white or gray

Cumulonimbus-tall and puffy, white or gray, sometimes called thunder clouds
