The Ruby-Wise
library is a very busy place. Students can come in before school to enjoy
reading, checking out books, searching for information on the internet, and taking Accelerated Reading
Tests. The Accelerated Reading Program is available to students in grades 1-6. Students may redeem their Accelerated Reader Points
for prizes at the end of the school year and all AR Readers gather to
celebrate their reading achievements with an "AR Picnic" at the end of
school.
We have a Library Club this
year and members help keep the library working at its best.
They shelve books, clean, assist children on the computers and read to them
during SSR. They will also assist with canteen fundraisers.

A networked system which allows a student or teacher to search for a book from
the classroom. This software is also in the library and students may
search using a computer in the library.
Accelerated Reader book "titles"are available in the school library with their
reading level and point value. They can be accessed by clicking the

Ruby Wise has upgraded their AR collection with 100,000 titles thru
acquisition of the Accelerated Reader Enterprise Software program.
Parents can access Enterprise at home to check their child's reading
progress and titles of Accelerated Reader Books. This is thru Home

available to students at school and home. Web address and password

given to the students by the librarian.
