Arthur F. Smith Magnet Middle School For Communication Arts is a school dedicated to promoting excellence in academics and visual communication.  Our visual communication component includes state of the art animation along with digital media production and a new television studio.  Technology is employed across the curriculum to enhance both student performance and the learning environment.

It is with great pride that I serve as principal for AFSMM.  The challenges that our students face grow daily as the world of technology explodes around them.  We are proud of the programs offered at Smith designed to prepare our students for a successful future.  We expect all of our students to succeed, and our commitment is to provide them with the tools they will need to meet those expectations. 

We have cultivated a professional learning environment where staff members engage in on-going education and training.  In order to provide the best for our students, we must continue to learn ourselves.
