The Rapides Parish School Board Special Education Department provides
FAPE
(Free and Appropriate Public Education)
for those individuals, ages zero through twenty-one, who have been identified through a multidisciplinary evaluation as being in need of special educational services . Programs for exceptional students are designed to allow the students to successfully fulfill the basic needs of academic independence, self realization, human relationships, economic efficiency, and civic responsibility.
