Objectives: Goal A  

  • Continue collaborative professional development activities as they pertain to disproportionality with both regular education and special education at all levels within the Parish.

  • Increased and deeper awareness of disproportionality and cultural responsive practices

Objectives: Goal B

  • To provide continued professional development training for Pupil Appraisal staff and SBL committee members on culturally responsive pre-referral and referral practices; culturally responsive testing; use of culturally responsive
    observations and checklists; use of the Universal Non-Verbal Intelligence Test( UNIT) and other measures.

  • To better inform parents, families, communities and appropriate stakeholders of these practices and tests.
