A webQuest for 1st grade

Introduction

  Autumn is one of the four seasons.  Many things change during this wonderful season.  Prepare yourself to discover these remarkable changes and how they impact our surroundings.

 

 

Task

  Your job will be to access the TrackStar #76485 and read the online book  In The Autumn.”  You will also view the movie entitled, Autumn Leaves.”  After this has been completed, you may color and print an online fall postcard.  Take the postcard and write 2 to 3 sentences about the picture and describe a change that occurs in Autumn.  Once your sentences are complete, type your story using MS Word.

 

Process

  Listed below are the steps that you should follow in order:

            First, click on Trackstar #76485 listed above.

            Next,find “In The Autumn” on the left side of the screen, click

                  on the title and begin reading the online story.    

            Then, find “Autumn Leaves:  A Movie” on the left side of the

                 screen and click on the title.  Watch and listen to the movie.

            After the movie, click on fall postcards, located on the left side

                  of the screen and choose a card to color online.  When you are

                  finished coloring, print it.

            Take the colored picture and write 2 to 3 sentences about

                 picture and describe one change that takes place during autumn.

            Finally, type your story on MS Word.

Evaluation

 You will be evaluated individually on the following:

            Your level of cooperation and participation.

            The fall postcard is colored in autumn colors.

            The quality of information in your 2 to 3 sentences.
